- In ancient times, Romans marked good days with a white stone, bad days with a black stone.
- This allowed them to determine whether or not they had a good month or bad.
- If you were going to mark yesterday and today with white or black stones, which colors would you use?
- Which color do you think you might typically use for special holidays or your birthday?
Activity 7: Discuss Sancho's Proverbs
Figure out the meaning of Sancho's proverbs.
- The hare leaps out of the bush where we least expect her.
- Faint heart never won fair lady.
